My Students

Hello! We are in full prep mode for our second-grade year and I'm still working to make sure our classroom is prepared for my returning students! We are all just so excited to come back to school and learn and have the opportunity to do so at the best school in town!

The majority of the students in our school come from low-income households and do not get many of the experiences many others are afforded.

Each and every year, I try to find ways to make learning engaging and fun so that they can have the best possible school year. My students have always been so eager about their learning and seem to have genuine excitement about being at school each day. This year will look a little different to start but I am continuing to look for new things so their love of learning will continue to grow!

My Project

We are living through unprecedented times right now and students have been away from the classroom for several months. As we prepare to return to the classroom, students will surely bring lots of emotions in with them. I plan to utilize these notebooks for them to keep at their desks as a way to share and work through feelings that may arise at different times. Sometimes just writing our feelings out can make such a big difference! The design of these journals is perfect for this age, too!

The command strips and pencil pouches will allow a new way for students to easily access supplies.

They will be taking them home each day so all they will have to do is grab their bag off the hook and everything will be ready to go! School boxes can easily break or dumped so the zippered pouches will hopefully allow more secure storage.
