My Students

Could you imagine coming to school on the first day and not having the materials you need? Or not being able to complete homework because you don't have the materials you need at home?

The students here attend a Title one school and many don't have the supplies that they need for school.

Many of our students' parents can not afford to buy them the materials that are needed in a classroom. It is also difficult for the families to buy supplies for the students to use at home such as crayons, scissors and glue.

My Project

I am asking for crayons, folders, scissors and pencils. For obvious reasons pencils crayons and scissors are needed in the classroom. There are often times when the students need crayons and scissors to finish an assignment. Pencils are used on a daily basis and are a necessity in the classroom. The folders would be used one for take home papers. These papers are taken home and stay home. It includes checked work, school announcements, etc. Another one of the folders is used as a homework folder. Every night their homework is put in a folder and sent home. Every morning the children turn in their homework in their folder to me.

This will make a difference because I will be able to make sure that every child not only has the materials that they need in the classroom but also at home.

If they need scissors or crayons for homework they have the materials that they need. Getting a larger quantity now will also allow me to supply any new students or old worn out materials.
