Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am very excited to teach a wonderful group of fifth graders this year. They are kind, they are bright, and they are enthusiastic. They are always eager to learn, and their commitment keeps me motivated. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.

Our school serves students in grades K-8 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment.

As a result, we are consistently one of the top-performing schools in the district every year. Our mission is to create a vibrant learning community where the minds and hearts of all who enter are nurtured, developed, and respected.

My Project

These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they will have the tools necessary to complete the many classroom activities. Many times my students work in groups creating posters, and writing/drawing. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide all the materials they need; specially because we run out of materials very early in the school year. My students need the highlighters to high light the informational texts in different colors depending the different parts of the text. They use the post it notes, as exit tickets to state what they have learned at the end of class or questions they may still have and post them on the board.
