Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hardworking and determined to achieve academic success. I teach in an integrated co-teaching setting as a special education teacher for high school students. I teach mostly science and provide Special Education Teacher Support Services where students work on all subjects areas. All together, I have about 110 students. My students come from all over New York City, and some have moved to NYC from other states. They bring their best work to the table. They help one another in times of need and do not leave each other behind.

My Project

These supplies will be used to support students in the classroom and teach them organizational skills by using the folders to keep all of their work in one place. My students need pencils, pens, highlighters, dry erase pocket sleeves, and dry erase markers to use during classroom activities which might include small group work or other hands-on activities. It allows them to organize their ideas and produce quality work. They work very hard to accomplish their goals and strive for the best. My students really enjoy working with one another and helping each other. Having more supplies in the classroom will allow students to produce more efficient work.
