My Students

My classis a class that is always looking forward to what the day is going to bring and very excited about what they are going to learn. They come in every day with their vibrant, caring, and helpful personalities. We have a mixture of very different students in our class which makes for a very unique class and experience every day.

This second grade class is not only eager to learn but also excited for new experiences that come this year.

My Project

As you can see there are many very different things on this list.

All the supplies that are on here are to keep students engaged throughout the day, help with their self-evaluation and make our classroom more functional.

Large Time Timer- Students need a visual representation to see how much time they have remaining during reading and writing workshop, assessments, and even packing up at the end of the day.

Sand timers- These sand timers will sit on desks of students who have trouble focusing to help keep them stay on task.

Write-and-Wipe Pockets- A lot of the time, students have worksheets that they need to use multiple times, right now they are only using them once and then need new ones which is wasting paper. These sleeves will allow students to reuse worksheets.

Privacy Partition- These will be used when students are taking assessments or just feel like they need a little more privacy while doing their independent work.

Flair pens- For grading and correcting, students may also self-correct.

Sound Phone- So students can really focus on every sound they say. Perfect for exploring letter sounds, phoneme blending, phonics practice, oral reading and more.

Rubbermaid Letter Tray- As of right now, our writing center is not as functional as it could be. This will help me as well as students stay organized and know where everything is, making the most out of writing workshop.
