Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The new school year will kick off in just a month, and I am more excited than ever to welcome 24 first graders into our new classroom. The most important lesson I've learned in my teaching career is that I can't do it alone. It takes a lot of time, energy, and love to maintain a classroom of 24 first graders. Not only from myself, but from the broader communities in which we are situated. Please help us access the support that we need and deserve!

My Project

My students will use the dry erase markers to complete daily "board work" routines. This includes writing lower case letters, upper case letters, 10 "sight words of the week", and numbers 1-120. We will use the whisper phones to build reading fluency during reader's workshop. We will use the phonics supplies and sight word game to build accuracy during literacy centers.

In order to create and maintain the environment that I want for my kids, I'm going to need some help purchasing the supplies that they need.

I work at a Title 1 school, which means we are under-resourced. But that shouldn't (and won't) prevent me from giving my students a quality education. Please consider helping us access the supplies that my students need and deserve!
