Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a diverse group of 7th grade students from New York! I have students from various nationalities, who speak different languages, come from different socio-economic backgrounds, and have different interests. Each child brings a different story and a different aspect to my class!

One of the many wonderful things about being an educator in NYC is that we have the opportunity to service and be of help to so many different children.

I take my job and my role seriously and hope to make a difference in their lives.

My Project

I am requesting some classroom supplies that we have been needing. The easel with the magnetic whiteboard will be an important addition to class. With this easel, I can pull small group and I can display important charts or visuals for students. It can also be an interactive board for students to participate in his or her learning. The chart paper would be for the easel, but it is also so important during student group work - we used chart paper a lot! The color copy paper is helpful when trying to color coordinate and/or to differentiate materials to make them stand out. Lastly, the pencil sharpener in our class recently broke- their pencils are getting dull!
