My Students

My students are motivated and eager to learn, despite the many challenges they face. Our school receives Title 1 funding, so the majority of students enrolled in the school come from an economically disadvantaged background. I want to be sure I'm doing everything I can to give my students a more equitable education.

My Project

Our school district is planning on resuming in-person classes mid-November, and I am asking for materials that will be needed when this time comes.

Most of my students come to school without basic supplies, such as pencils, crayons, erasers, folders, etc.

During a typical school year, commonly used supplies would be stored in a caddy in the middle of each table for students to share. This year, students will be unable to share supplies due to COVID-19 precautions. Because of this, I am hoping to give each student an individual pencil case containing the supplies they need. I am also asking for supplies to keep my students safe and healthy, such as hand sanitizer, tissues, and skin matching band-aids.
