Classroom soundtrack: Headphones for every 5th Grader!

Help me give my students the ability to read most effectively during their Amira independent reading time and help us to keep the headphones clean and avoid any illnesses spreading around the classroom!

My Project

In my district, we use an online reading platform, Amira, to meet students where they are and give them the most tailored reading instruction to build their reading and confidence! To use Amira most effectively, every student in the class needs their own set of headphones. Unfortunately, my classroom does not have enough headphones for every student, and some of the headphones that we do have only work on one side or the microphone is not working. Teaching in a title 1 school, these kids deserve the best but might not always get it based on the funding available. That's why I want to make sure that they get everything they need to thrive! By providing each student with their own pair of headphones, we can elevate their independent reading time on Amira.

These headphones will help them concentrate better, connect with the material, and dive deeper into their learning experience.

It’s a small investment that makes a huge difference in fostering focus, independence, and engagement in reading. Let’s give our students the tools they need to thrive!
