We are a hard-to-serve school where ninety-three percent of students are on free or reduced price lunches, on top of already provided daily breakfast and afternoon snacks.
Our students are of high academic needs with limited resources available to teachers unless they are purchased out of pocket.
We have high behavior and academic needs. Grades kindergarten through fifth are seventy-three percent African American, eighteen percent Hispanic and four percent Caucasian.
Students are incredibly hard working, strong, smart and dedicated to being successful. Attendance levels are high and I couldn't be more proud of my second grade classroom!
The Balance Ball Chairs are a great resource that I have seen many students benefit from using, specifically those who need to move their bodies subtly while learning without distracting or disrupting others around them.
Bean bag chairs are a far more comfortable and fun place for all students to read all around the room.
This allows for a more relaxed and engaging reading experience.
Students benefit from having the ability to choose their work area and be comfortable in their environment to achieve their learning goals. These wobble stools and bean bag chairs will allow my students the opportunity to do just that!
