My Project

The classroom rug is a common meeting place for students and the teacher. New concepts are introduced and practiced. Stories are heard. Thinking takes place. We can gather around something new and explore it together. It's that one special place where everyone feels welcome and everyone knows that something new and exciting is about to take place! The rug will be a safe space for my students to independently read as well. I give my students several opportunities throughout the day to read a book of their choice. This rug would be so beneficial to my classroom!
