Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each year it seems like my classes get larger and larger. For the last 3 years, I have had 30+ students in each class. With that many desks are placed in awkward seating arrangements. Some students' desks are very far in the back of classroom making it difficult to see the board and be engaged in class discussion/work.

By adding a rug, it allows students to move around the classroom and sit in a spot that they prefer which enhances their learning experience.

My goal is to use the rug in many different ways. Some students will move up close to the board for mini lessons, students will work independently on the rug, and students will work in partnerships/groups or even small groups with a teacher.

Overall, students will enjoy the flexibility of moving throughout the classroom. Please help me reach my goal! Your contribution will help my 90+ students have a fun and better learning experience!
