My Project

My students are special education students with varying needs. We struggle with finding sensory options and varying seating options to keep them focused and on track to complete their work, be more engaged, and learn. I want to create a classroom environment for them that is beautifully decorated so that they may feel comfortable and at home in my room. My classroom needs to be a safe space for them, so this is my goal: to create a safe and aesthetically pleasing classroom for students with varying sensory needs. Some of the seating options I would like to provide for them include being able to sit on a couch, a high top table, classroom table with comfortable chairs, and fluffy rugs for floor work. The other items include classroom signage, storage for documents/worksheets/etc., and other decorations. This will create an inviting classroom that is organized and free of clutter. So please help me create the best special education room I can!
