Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach twenty-seven diverse and curious fourth-graders. Each of which are bright and passionate. They look for opportunities in which they can thrive. The students work hard at contributing to classroom discussions and sharing their ideas. They have developed, just within our first month, brilliant and strong ways in which to have academic discussions and in respectful argumentation. Our school is a Title I school located within Los Angeles.

These students have the tools they need in order to succeed, and my role as their teacher is to show them how to use these tools in order for them to reach their fullest potential.

My Project

The materials that are being asked for will help our classroom run smoother and much more efficiently. These materials include pocket charts, speakers, and erasers.

The materials will aid in allowing our our classroom routines and transitions to run seamlessly.

For example, one of the pocket charts will be used to assign, organize, and track small groups within our classroom, in order to help provide students with the focused instruction they may require. A second pocket chart will be used to display our class schedule, in order to show students what the layout of the day will be like, and help with time managing.

The speakers will be used when projecting lessons and supplemental materials in order to further enhance student learning.
