Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The Kindergarteners that I teach are bright and eager four and five year olds who crave to learn about the world around them. My students are constantly seeking answers to their questions and searching to make connections with those around them.

My students are kind and compassionate.

The students that I teach are truly remarkable. We are in a high needs area and while my students are eager we don't always have access to the resources that we need and that is where your help would be deeply appreciated. With help from DonorsChoose, we will be able to get access to resources that will take our learning to the next level.

My Project

The stem kits will allow my students to delve into science learning in a handouts on way. Students will learn about how to construct homes and other structures with an emphasis being placed on making real world connections.

The leveled texts will allow my students to access books that support their learning.

The level A and D book bins in my class have very few books and so students would greatly benefit from having more of these leveled texts available.

Both resources (kits and books) will allow students to continue to develop a passion for learning and exploring the world around them.
