I am a Reading Specialist in a Title I school that serves students in grades 3-5. Every student receives free breakfast and lunch. Students I work with need additional support with reading.
My learners love to read and to learn something new every day!
They are always learning new skills to help them become better readers, writers, researchers, and critical thinkers! They have become stronger at using the computer, especially after remote learning. My learners have great futures ahead of them!
Students will be reading independently in my class as part of a program I use for struggling readers. We have all tile flooring. Sitting on a carpet as opposed to a cold floor will provide my students with more comfort and warmth when reading! It will also help with their motivation to read. Students like to go to an area in a classroom that looks more like home. They will all want to go the the carpet to read! To add some comfort and warmth, an area rug will be a perfect addition!
