Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These notebooks would be given to all students in my 9th and 10th grade creative writing elective to use as their writers’ notebooks, to collect inspiration and draft their masterpieces. The printer would be used for all my language arts classes, but would be an especially valuable resource for my creative writing course as well. The course is structured as a workshop, and each week 2 students are asked to print drafts of the pieces they are working on to distribute to the class. Having printed copies allows each student to provide written feedback for their classmate, which helps the flow of our workshops and serves to guide the writer in applying feedback to their final drafts. Many students do not have printers at home, and having access to one in the classroom would facilitate this process.
