Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students crave the opportunity to be in control of their learning and education. They want to strive for the best and by providing them resources that they can work on independently, they will grow into the best learners they can be and set themselves up for a successful educational career.

My classroom consists of 10 students with special needs and 15 general education students.

In order to support my students needs, these materials are essential. I would like my classroom to be a safe space where learning is the focus point of the year. When my students think back on their Kindergarten experience, I would like them to remember learning through hands-on student centered activities.

My Project

My students will use the pocket charts to facilitate a student centered morning routine. The Date chart will allow students to change the date daily on their own. Coupled with the letter, counting and weather chart, my students are going to learn to be independent and self sufficient throughout the school day. The alphabet sounds kit will facilitate language acquisition and letter sound recognition.

The donation of these materials will allow my co teacher and I to provide all students (general ed and special ed) the opportunity to become self sufficient learners to set themselves up for a life of learning.
