Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 24 3rd graders in the South Bronx. My students have many different learning needs, but they all have a lot in common. They are curious, vivacious and compassionate learners. They work hard every day to be successful!

My class is full of energetic students who come to school ready to learn every day!

These third graders are in need of some basic classroom materials to help their learning!

I strive to provide every student with a strong and comprehensive education. It is important to me that my students not only learn their core subjects, but have all the social and emotional tools they need to be successful!

My Project

My students don't just sit at their desks all day! They gather as a class in the meeting area, they work in small groups, in partnerships, and independently. Clipboards will allow them to move around the classroom easily and work with others. They will also come in handy later this year when they will learn measurements and graphing!

My students are wonderful third graders who would benefit from materials to help their learning.

I would love your help proving my them with a teaching clock to help them learn to tell time. This will allow me to demonstrate the use of an analog clock and provide them with constant practice at telling time.

Finally, my students are in need of a classroom mailbox. I send home monthly newsletters, assignments, and general notices from the school. Many notices do not make it home, because of a lack of organization. A mailbox will help students stay organized and remind them to take home their notices and assignments every day! A purchase as simple as a mailbox will help increase parent involvement too!
