This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My kindergartners are inner-city children who inspire me to be a teacher. They come to school every day excited and ready to learn. They are critical thinkers who love learning through hands-on activities and from one another. They are problem solvers and our next generation innovators.
They love learning new things by exploring and discovery.
They are optimistic and accept the challenges of their everyday lives head-on. They are our future and I want to ensure they have the things they need to be successful.
My Project
Over the years when using the same borders, and other bulletin board materials, there is some wear and tear. Thus, every now and then a classroom can use a slight makeover. A classroom makeover will ensure that every child has a warm and inviting classroom environment to learn in.
The Confetti Bundle will allow me to make much needed changes to classroom bulletin boards, and display new classroom inspirational signs.
The table caddies are needed for students’ supplies that they use daily. The storage bins will be used to store books based on themes that we will use as we discuss different topics.
The classroom environment is critical to students’ learning. These materials will help me create a warm and inviting classroom environment that these children need.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
