My Project

As a teacher and a learner I am learning that great readers don't just learn letter sounds. Great readers learn vocabulary words, have background knowledge on various topics and develop oral language skills.

Having many books related to bigger concepts helps connect various subjects develops more knowledgable and stronger readers.

Over the year I am hoping to connect our reading and writing curriculums by bigger concepts such as changes in the fall, adapting to winter, helpers in our community and many more. Having quality books for us to read will help our lessons be more engaging and get more books into children's hands.
