Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with 4th and 5th-grade struggling readers who were intimidated by reading at the beginning of the year. I am very proud to say that they have developed confidence in their reading skills through hard work and perseverance. They have developed a love for reading and would like to create a beautiful classroom library where they can continue to grow as readers and hopefully lifelong learners.

Our new classroom library will be a place that will transport my students into new worlds where anything is possible.

It will provide a safe space for my students where they will read to a reading buddy, stuffed animal, or self. Please help me give my students beautiful Posh Creation Bean Bags and reading strips for our classroom library. A place where they will feel successful and proud, like a second home. We know that the best way to increase reading ability is to provide them with meaningful opportunities, so what better way than with their own classroom library?
