My Students

My students work hard every day and love to learn. They are great kids who like to joke but know how to switch over to work when they need to. They are smart, funny, witty, and helpful.

I teach 20 students with the most amazing personalities.

Each one works to be an example for the students around them and for the school. They routinely work to lift each other up and help each other complete work that is assigned so that everyone has the same opportunity to learn.

My Project

I have asked for materials that will give my students some daily practice on skills that have been neglected during the periods of school closures and virtual learning. These skills are going to need extra work and focus to catch the students up to where they need to be.

My students love to read "real" books during independent reading time.

Unfortunately, most of the books that are currently in the classroom library are either not leveled correctly or they are so old that the students have no desire to read them. I would like to give them updated books that they will be able to enjoy and use to further nurture their love of reading.
