Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have risen from many obstacles in life to get to this point. They are still trying to recover from Hurricane Harvey. They are in a place where they are striving to do what is right, despite the constant pulls in the opposite direction. These student are eager to find personal successes and share them with those around them.

These students, this school year, have shown an appreciation for the journey they have taken with their eyes on literature.

My Project

Our classroom library is robust. After collecting hundreds of books to encourage our students to read from, I have a lack of space to display them. Our students need to be able to see all the books they can choose from.

In addition to displaying the books, the students need to have a check out system to feel comfortable reading the books at their leisure.

With the iPad, the students can check out the books effectively. The iPad will also use the libib app to keep track of the books and allow students to provide reviews of the books they read.
