My Students

I would want my students to have engaging independent text that fosters their love for reading.

My students are eager to absorb and apply the information that they are learning.

They desire more knowledge and look for creative ways to apply their skills. Our school has a very small budget so although we can replace and purchase supplies, it is sometimes challenging to get the required funds. If we can supplement a portion, it will enable us to purchase other items that are needed for the classroom.

My Project

My students independently read and partner read for 20 minutes each day. They have already read the books at their reading level and although some students are able to move up, others aren't. I would like to give the students more of a variety of book choices that will engage them in their reading.

Motivating the students will enable them to acquire the comprehension skills needed to progress not only in their reading but their writing skills as well.

It will enhance their love of learning.
