My Students

The students at my school are amazing. I know you probably hear this a lot, but seriously, my students are phenomenal. They attend a K-12 public school for gifted and talents students in the middle of a major city!

Our students are creative, innovative, and full of life, but this is only part of what makes them so phenomenal.

They are eager to learn not only their subjects in school but they also want to know more about the world around them.

My Project

In our freshman English Language Arts class we are always adding to our classroom library. It is our goal to have books in our room that all of our students will love to read. Typically, we start each day with 10 minutes of independent silent reading. During this time our students are able to read any book of their choosing.

We use this time to truly foster a love for reading.

With this project we will be able to add more novels to our current library, giving students an even greater variety to choose from. With this project we will be excited to add novels such as the Alice Network and The Expanse series to list a few..
