Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

It will be my 2nd year teaching through a pandemic. Last year I taught 1st graders online and in person. This year I was able to move up to 2nd grade therefore I was able to loop with my students. However, all classrooms have been and will continue to be affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. The upcoming school year will be very different but I want to make it as easy as possible for my students. As a starting teacher I don't have much and any help is greatly appreciated. I want my students to enjoy this year by making their life easier in my classroom. Thank you!

My Project

Throughout the pandemic students have been structured to follow specific guidelines. Our classroom will benefit from a printer, laminator, cutter and stapler to make our everyday routines easier as we would have access to materials without having to leave the class- we can not move from room to room to be safe. I added materials such as flexible seating, and bins to allow us to still be safe but feel at home when in the classroom.

Students deserve a safe classroom environment.

I want to provide that for my students.

These materials will help not only to continue being safe in our classroom but also to feel like home.
