Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach at a Title I school. I am a second grade teacher who teaches all subject areas to my 24 students. All of my students are bilingual. They are all hard working children who wish to succeed. Currently, we are in need of a writing center to help store all their writing needs.

Many of my students are creative writers. They are constantly asking for booklets to write stories. There is not currently a place to store writing materials for students to have access whenever they want. The biggest problem is motivating students to write many stories.

I feel if my students are able to see and get materials in a writing center that they will be more apt to write and create stories for all to read. I believe that they will write more which in turn will help them to improve in their writing abilities.

Your help will motivate my students to write more ensuring that their writing abilities will improve.
