This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our special education program will be starting a brand new garden this year, and we need all the help we can get. Gardening can benefit children in many ways, including teaching them responsibility, developing their math skills, and connecting them with nature.

Gardening helps children understand the environment and appreciate the world around them.

It can also help them develop a sense of touch and feel, curiosity, and exploration. Gardening also offers numerous benefits for children with disabilities, fostering physical activity, sensory engagement, and emotional well-being while also promoting learning and social skills.
