Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Scoop chairs were a flexible seating option for my 3rd graders last year. Although, my students loved using them, they were small for most of my 3rd graders. They definitely grew out of them towards the end of the year.

This year I am teaching 4th grade and I want to continue to provide seating choice when completing independent work.

The adjustable stools and reclining seats will be great options for the 4th graders to be able to work anywhere in the classroom comfortably. I am planning to use the stools during small group instruction to increase focus. I have a great group of 4th graders that are curious, respectful, and responsible students that are eager to learn.

It's convenient to have a fridge in the classroom. Students are able to earn classroom rewards, like popsicle parties, through a marble jar. A freezer would come in handy. The school provides students with breakfast and sometimes we have left over items (e.g. yogurt, milk) that need refrigeration or it gets thrown out. If stored students can consume it during recess if hungry.

I also asked for a standing magazine rack to display the National Geographic Kids magazines I have purchased.
