Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project contains a majority of different pocket charts for classroom use. I have many instructional tools and materials like books, vocabulary cards, manipulatives, etc. that I would love to share with students. I want for it to be easily accessible but also function as a learning tool for every student simultaneously.

For that to happen, pocket charts can hold but also display unit and module specific materials for students.

I am a proponent for autonomy in my classroom so when students learn how to use the information available in these pocket charts, it can make learning much more smoother and more organized.

I can display our reading curriculum vocabulary cards for students to grab and use during reading or writing independent work. There is a pocket chart for vowel sounds that can be placed next to my vowel valley on our sound wall. There is a "groups" pocket chart for students to know what small group they are in for literacy centers and a slot for my teaching materials to be placed per group. For some pocket charts, I will need a stand to hold them up for display. The door hooks can go over the bathroom door to display any pocket chart.
