Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my room, I have started a closet to hold various resources that kids commonly ask me for, but the school doesn't always offer. This means these are non-school supplies- not things like pens, pencils, and scissors, but rather things that simply brings kids comfort or things they have a need for.

Students often use the resource closet to find lotion, a bandaid, a tissue, silverware, and many other basic things that they can't always find at school.

Students love having this in the room, and it gives them a sense of dignity and trust that they can take things as needed.

Upkeeping this closet takes money that the school nor I always have. Help me fund basic supplies for this free resource closet to continue making students feel comfortable and at home at school, always having their needs met.

Our school predominantly consists of low-income, black and Hispanic, and immigrant students. Your donation helps out.
