My Project

These materials will be used to supplement teaching. All of these supplies are things that my classroom is in continually high need of, and things that students ask for every day.

As a Title I school, we are in severe lack of supplies and materials that are sometimes commonly overlooked.

The classes that I teach are English 8, for Honors, Collaborative ELL/ESL, and Collaborative SPED. There are 75 students (3 class periods) that are constantly circulating my classroom, asking for supplies from their peers and from me. It is incredibly disheartening to see students having to worry and spend their time looking for these basic materials, without having the ability to provide them in the classroom. I would also like to emphasize the request for desk resistance bands, as many of my fidgety students would benefit from having these in the classroom to reduce distracting behavior and also allow their minds to remain focused at their desks.
