Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of our students come from low-income backgrounds and often do not have the same opportunities as children their own age in a different school district. For example, the dry-erase board is transportable and allows students to share their work with their classmates. The label maker will be used to label each student's items to ensure their materials are safely returned to them, if misplaced. The pocket chart will be used to practice blends and reading skills.

I have made it my mission to create a welcoming classroom environment that is a safe haven for students as well as an academically stimulating space to nurture growth.

These basic and essential classroom items help keep our classroom organized. This is my first year in 1st grade and in a new classroom! This classroom can use some essentials to ensure it is a safe haven for our students' academic success.
