Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our fifth grade students need materials for the start of the school year. These materials will be used throughout the school year in different subjects, like math, literacy, science and art. Our class will use them for routines, lessons, and center activities.

I would like to provide each student with their own new notebooks and replenished supply of materials so that they feel motivated to take ownership of their learning.

They will use the blank notebooks for interactive journal time. The blank pages will allow them to organize their thinking in a way that makes sense to them. The graph journals will support connections between area, multiplication and division. Other materials, such as dividers, folders, and pouches, will help students organize their classwork.
