Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a dedicated teacher at a Title-I funded public school, my passion for teaching extends far beyond the classroom walls. Every day, I am inspired by the resilience and eagerness to learn that my special education students bring into our shared space. However, the reality of limited school supplies and funds often poses challenges to providing them with the quality education they deserve. That's why I am reaching out for support through a wishlist of essential classroom materials. Something as seemingly simple as copy paper, pencils, erasers, and crayons can make a profound difference in the learning journey of my students. A Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift card would help immensely with the cost of creative, enriching, hands-on activities and crafts. Printer toner will help with printing and making worksheet copies, paper storage will help the students know where to get all of their materials, fidget chair bands to help with students that struggle with staying still and focusing, paper towel to pick up water messes and to use during science experiments, copy paper to make copies of homework any printed material, dry-erase erasers to use with small groups, felt tip pens to grade and write, and hand sanitizer to keep germs at bay. With these supplies, we can delve deeper into hands-on activities, creative projects, and personalized learning experiences, fostering growth and confidence in each and every student. Together, with your generosity, we can empower these bright minds to reach their full potential and overcome any obstacles they may face.
