This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello! I am beginning my 5th year of teaching next year, and for the past four years, I have seen what students need daily in their science classes. I have been providing these essentials for students but there is not enough for my larger classes.

Having more of these classroom essentials would allow my classes to move more smoothly and quickly so we can get back to learning.

My students are hardworking and adaptive, I encourage them to keep interactive notebooks as a learning log and they reference their work often which is why they need tape to put their worksheets in their notebooks.

We have been using alternate whiteboards in our AVID class, but we desperately need a better system so students can collaborate and help out one another in their small tutoring groups. This is why we have requested two new whiteboards for the students.

For all of my students, we practice presenting in class regularly. My students would like to become stronger public speakers and gather around in group discussions using a presentation chair. They have selected the desk chair as a way to elevate their presentations for the coming years.
