Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The beginning of each school year is a vital opportunity to create a safe and comfortable environment for students. Organization, routines, and resources are incredibly important to ensure students feel cared for. Going into this year, I am excited to meet my new class and quickly start to create a comforting classroom community where each student feels seen.

The materials I have requested will be helpful in helping me create routines that validate the learning styles of each student, while helping to organize classroom procedures to ensure each day runs smoothly.

I look forward to utilizing these tools to create an engaging classroom environment with movement, social emotional learning practices, and small group instruction.

The student mailbox cubbies will be a great way for me to ensure students know where to find classroom materials. The acrylic wall posters will be a great way to post discussion prompts and allow students to walk around the classroom and talk to their peers. The dry erase sticker will be great for creating more flexible small group instruction opportunities. Lastly, the fidgets and posters will add to my calm corner, in order to benefit the social emotional needs of each of my learners.
