Classroom Enhancement

My Project

Montessori lessons greatly revolve around the use of manipulatives, objects, and sensory items for students to enhance their learning. Skills such as positions, beginning sound activities, CVC word building, and many more use manipulatives and objects for students to better grasp real-world words and meanings.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and have a better understanding of the skills being taught when they have real items to learn with.

I am also requesting a sensory table. This year we started out exploring sensory items in a small tub. The skills learned in this activity have been beneficial for the students. I am asking for a table so that I can expand upon these skills and continue to build. Sensory tables provide a space for students to practice fine motor skills along with sorting, counting, and so much more!
