My Project

Our classroom consists of 24 diverse students from various backgrounds and with a variety of interests and strenghts. My students would love to create a classroom economy and our own class store. In order to make this happen, we need to fill the shelves on our classroom cart with prizes that students can purchase with their hard-earned classroom money.

My students would love a variety of prizes for our class store including fun pencils, Smencils, finger puppets, sensory balls, slime and sand.

Students will work hard to earn money in our classroom store by completing classroom jobs, finishing class assignments, and being respectful, responsible, and safe. Aside from motivating positive classroom behavior and work ethic, students will begin to develop the concept of a hard-earned dollar, knowing when to save, and the difference between wants and needs. They will also be adding, subtracting, making change, and counting money. Students in fourth grade are reading to learn about financial literarcy. This will enhance our math program in a fun and engaging way.
