Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 20 wonderful students. The range in age from 3 to 5 years-old. My students represent a wide range of backgrounds. The school district is made up of 52% Hispanic, 35% African American, and 22% Caucasian. A few of my students are learning English, with Spanish being their primary language. They are very eager to learn and they deserve the best of the best!

My students are little sponges.

They are soaking in everything they learn. They are very excited to learn and grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Since they are very young, they need hands-on experiences to aid in their learning. They love to learn through play. Play is vital to the learning process for early childhood.

These students would greatly benefit from your donation. We are in great need of tools to assist their learning. Thank you for taking the time to read.

My Project

I'm wanting to give my students a beautiful classroom. I teach pre-k in Oklahoma City. I am their first school experience. I want to give them a beautiful classroom full of calm colors. I went with a natural theme to make my room appear more calming. I've asked for name plates to label each desk. Bulletin board trim to cover some termite damage and create a welcoming bulletin board. Also, I am needing to redo my word wall. I would love to put up a new alphabet and number chart for the students to reference when doing their work. Thank you so much for your consideration.
