Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are kind, compassionate, inquisitive, and fun. They make me enjoy coming to work every day. I love each and every single one of them because they all add so much value to our classroom and I like to remind them of that often.

I believe I have the future of the world in my classroom and they make me confident for the future.

We are like one big family! Fortunately, I have gotten to know each and every one of my students pretty well. I've seen them embrace new students and students who are different than them. I have seen them uplift each other in hard times. I have seen them stand up for one another. I have seen them advocate for what they believe is right. They are strong. They are brave. They are passionate.

Sometimes if I see that there is something they need to work on, we have a class meeting. They call it "Life Lessons With Ms. Hawken" and they LOVE it. They always ask for more advice. It makes me so happy to see that I have an impact on them and they truly have a huge impact on me as well.

My Project

There are so many wonderful uses for a cricut in the classroom!

With a cricut, my students and I will be able to create collaboratively.

We will be able to work together to create bulletin boards, literacy projects, science projects, math projects, holiday gifts for parents, and many more fun and exciting projects.

I promote creativity in the classroom and a cricut will help us to explore and enhance our classroom creativity. Students learn more when they are able to have fun and be creative! Also, by donating to this project you are allowing me to put more time into teaching and less time into prepping.
