My Students

Our school is challenged when it comes to technology. We have a computer lab that we can visit once every other week for thirty minutes. This laptop would allow us to make technology connections in our own classroom through the use of a projector and document camera.

I have nineteen first grade students who come from diverse backgrounds.

We serve our neighborhood students as well as students who transfer to our school. The levels of learning vary from 1st grade to 6th grade. My students are eager to learn and want to use technology in our daily lessons. Our school is challenged when it comes to technology. We have a computer lab that we can visit once a month for thirty minutes. We are limited when it comes to technology opportunities. This laptop would allow us to make technology connections in our own classroom. We are working to meet mandated district requirements to complete math intervention and English/Language Arts intervention programs. This piece of technology will assist us on a daily basis as we work hard to meet our requirements. Have you ever worked on a slow computer, or a computer that is unable to upgraded, or on an Internet connection that crawls because of outdated technology? Well, that is our classroom. Will you help?

My Project

With the addition of this laptop, we will be able to create an interactive learning environment. This interactive environment will span across our first grade curriculum that includes reading, English/language arts, math, science, and social studies. The ability to use this across our curriculum is vital. We have wonderful teacher resources from our curriculum that require a computer for intervention and enrichment opportunities. This laptop technology will bring learning to the forefront and engage my students.

My students need a laptop computer to connect to a projector which in turn will enable us to create an interactive learning environment.

It will allow us to meet district requirements and create an interactive learning environment that supports, assists and engages all students.
