My Project

As the English Language Coordinator, I teach four writing workshop classes that prepare my students for the WIDA English language test as well as coordinate our EL program for the school. This computer will be my classroom computer in addition to the computer that plugs into our large TV screen. I will use this computer for attendance, lesson planning, and reading and grading assignments. I currently am not able to sit at my desk because my personal computer does not hold battery life and the wireless connection to my big screen does not work. So I am stuck teaching right in front of the big screen.

This computer will give me access to their assignments at my desk and improve on my ability to give feedback because the one tablet we are given to instruct is most often hooked up to visuals and instructions for the big screen.

Additionally, its lightweight and long battery life will enable me to teach reading comprehension strategies while circling the classroom.

Any and every donation is appreciated to help make our classrooms technologically up-to-date and match the world around us.
