This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a public school, special education teacher of a fourth grade, integrated, co-teaching class. Entering the 2020-2021 school year will be my first year teaching 4th grade as a co-teacher to 28 students. I love teaching and I truly bring the passion for learning to work each day!

My students love learning and having fun in the classroom as well.

My students, at times, might appear distracted; yet, this is the nature of their learning disabilities. I am constantly searching for new, innovative ways to maintain the interest of all my students in everyday learning including using this printer for many skill-based assignments needed to show growth.

My students benefit from my high energy levels and my attentiveness to their individual learning styles. They learn their very best within the confines of a small group and individualized learning setting that works for each student. For those who do not know my teaching style, I am strongly devoted. Whether arriving an upmost of an hour early to school and staying a minimum of two hours after regular school hours, I spend numerous amounts of time planning and preparing for my students.

My Project

Hi! My name is Adam Kalan. I am currently a fourth grade integrated co-teaching teacher, serving as the special education teacher. My school is a Title 1 school and my students are always so appreciative for anything they receive. It always makes them feel happy when they know that are people like you are taking the time out of their day to contribute to their life. Unlike any other of my past 8 years of teaching, this year has provided me with new learning opportunities in which they provide instruction to my students both virtual and in-person. Additionally, I have been exposed to many new technological and learning resources.

Providing special education services within a school setting is a challenge in itself, but then having to provide them through virtual means becomes that much of a challenge.

However, with the proper tools and knowledge of the teacher with how to make technological resources available to all learners, this classroom computer becomes that much more important. Nevertheless, through virtual learning, computer storage has also become a huge necessity. As file size continues to grow on classroom computers, the slower the computer will function and adversely slowing down the computer speed.

So, a crystal clear imaging unit and a large storage capacity within this computer will provide my students and my school community with the highest quality virtual and in-person education. Apple products have always been known for their quality and for the most innovative, so together, let's bring my classroom and school community further into 21st century learning with Apple Products!
