Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a Title I school, and I feel it is so important to provide a classroom environment that is safe and welcoming for all students. This year I will have 52 students in and out of my room throughout the year and these are some of the supplies I feel would greatly benefit their learning. Something important to me is displaying student work, and the laminating sheets will allow me to preserve and display it around the room.

The cushions and rug will be a wonderful addition to our classroom library and will be used as flexible seating as an incentive during silent reading time.

The book set is a series we started reading with our first literacy unit and the students are looking forward to reading each additional book as a read-aloud.

As an incentive for the classroom, my students are looking forward to a class pet and I couldn’t think of a better use of the jellyfish lamp for my students. Lastly, having so many students in and out of the classroom, cleanliness, and organization is important to me. These supplies will help in keeping the classroom ready for learning throughout the year. Thank you for considering donating!
