My Students

My students are from a low-income area where most students are considered "at risk." A majority of my students began the school year with little to no school supplies. Between being a new teacher and moving into an outdated classroom, I have spent a lot of effort and money trying to create a loving and fun learning environment for my students who I feel don't have a lot outside of school.

I have a fun and hardworking group of students this school year, who are never afraid to try something new and love working with others.

They enjoy getting their hands on materials and definitely learn best by trying things for themselves. My goal is to keep this year exciting while students are doing meaningful lessons and activities that contribute to their learning. By helping donate to my classroom, you are helping students experience school how it should be taught; with hands-on materials, physical books to read instead of staring at screens, engaging materials, and comfort and flexibility in our room.

My Project

Please consider donating to our classroom project. Our classroom is located in the basement of our school, which unfortunately is all tile flooring. We are hoping to add this rug to our classroom so that we can come together more comfortably as a group on the floor. Whether we are sitting on the rug for whole group lessons, or listening to a story. I feel this classroom rug will help my students look forward to coming to the carpet to learn. We look forward to adding a comfy, exciting, flexible new area to our classroom.
