My Project

My special needs students love to learn about the world around them and are always excited when at school. They are very hands on and love to be challenged. Unfortunately, some students get overly stimulated by classwork or other students and require calming stimuli to help them de-escalate and return to classroom activities. I am requesting floor cushions, a CD player, beanbag chairs and more. I need a designated space in my classroom that will serve as a safe place for students to process their emotions, strengthen their emotional skills, engage in mindful activities until they are ready to return to whole group instruction.
