Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Regulation is about our mental and physical states. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, our students have had an increase in the need for sensory, movement, and regulation help. As school counselor, I am committed to teaching students how to access education through the use of self-regulation.

I am requesting enough materials to create 24 individual calm down kits to present to classroom teachers to use in class during times when students need a sensory break.

Donations like fidget toys, timers, and other sensory tools will be included in individual classroom calm down kits for students to access in the classroom to aid in their self regulation. Kits will include printed and laminated cards that will teach different breathing techniques and other tips for body regulation.
