This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

New teacher, older school. Class sets of calculators are hard to come by. Students in my classroom have had access to school provided calculators in previous classes, so are expecting the same tools this year.

Most of my students experience freedom to learn new concepts when they are no longer worried about managing the calculations.

The TI-34 calculators are a favorite tool of mine to use. They are simple to teach to students, show fractions and integers in the same format I teach them, and are familiar to most of my students.
